Comparing the iPhone to the Human Body

Category: Let's talk

So the iPhone and the human body have some similarities and differences.

The battery is its heart. In the human body, the heart pumps blood
throughout the entire body, and blood vessils send blood back to the
heart. In an iPhone, the battery is the heart. Because it sends power
throughout the entire phone, and any part of the phone that doesn't need
power right away gets sent back to the battery.

It's processor is the brain. Our brains control our entire body, from basic
bodily functions to thinking and remembering things to walking. It tells our
body parts what to do. The iPhone has a processor and it tells the phone
what to do when you send it a command.

The charger port is its mouth. You know how our mouth works. The
iPhone has a charging port, so you plug the charger into it, and the power
goes through that and then into the battery.

The speaker is its voice box. We have a voice box that makes us make
sounds. The iPhone's speaker is the same way. Sound comes out of it,
and without a speaker there would be no sound.

The microphone is its ear. We hear with our ears, the iPhone's microphone
allows it to listen to sound and process it with the processor aka the brain.
So when we talk on the phone or dictate text, it hears our voices.

The camera is its eyes. It has two cameras, like we have 2 eyes. The
cameras see what is in focus in order for us to take pictures. And when
we snap the picture, it remembers it, like how sighted people have visual
memories.

I don't have an analogy for the headphone jack, or the vibration motor that
makes the phone vibrate. If any of you have any other analogies, leave
them down below; it should be interesting to see.

and the point of this useless waste of board space is?

Pity the human body doesn't have an equivalent of
Settings/General/Reset/Erase All Content and Settings. For some people it
would mean you could start over with them and program some sense into
them..

The vibrator is an attention-getting mechanism. Humans have one too. Some are just a lot more active than others.

Joanne, this was cute!

Too bad you can't power down some people completely, like you can power down the iPhone...

iCloud would be usefull, upload your consciousness to the cloud and re-download to another body.

Now that just sounds like some crazy sci-fi novel.

I think something similar was done in that movie Selfless.

The asgard did it on Stargate SG1 after all.

Hey I figure if this is going to be a pointless thread I'd have some fun with it.

That would be awesome! You can send your memories to the iCloud and back
them up to your mother or something.

or you could erase all the bad ones or the ones about stupid stuff you did which you wish you didn't have to relive. great idea.

My cameras don't work. The microphones are excellent but the sound processor is completely busted. Instead of filtering out unwanted noise it dumps every bit of data into the main processor's sound buffer. Under noisy conditions the machine becomes overwhelmed and freezes. I could also use more RAM, a faster processor and the ability to switch between processes faster. I want an upgrade.

Yeah I understand.

even though my cameras don't work, I still had to get artificial ones.

Lmao Voyager. You rock.

Post 14 by LeoGuardian (You mean there is something outside of this room with my computer in it?) on Tuesday, 15-Mar-2016 10:14:39

Voyager does know how to put it straight, and dare I say, poetically at that.

In that case, my iPhone needs a new case.

Post 16 by Voyager (I just keep on posting!) on Tuesday, 15-Mar-2016 13:01:55

Lol Impricator. I do rock. That's because my accelerometer is messed up.

Post 17 by AgateRain (Believe it or not, everything on me and about me is real!) on Tuesday, 15-Mar-2016 16:53:20

Simply, what the fuck?

Post 18 by Reyami (I've broken five thousand! any more awards going?) on Tuesday, 15-Mar-2016 16:59:53

That was the gist of my question in the second post. lol
and I certainly wouldn't call this cute, more like stupid.
